Hey all,
Here's some new news for ya.
My book, "Plastic Cameras: Toying with Creativity" is now out!
It's the first comprehensive collection of plastic camera history, images and how-to.
I pulled together 33 photographers in all genres of photography, researched the history of Dianas, Holgas and other toys, and provide several chapters of beginning and advanced guidance. There's also an extensive resources section with web sites, books, magazines and articles about our beloved toys.
I'm really happy with the way it turned out, and I hope y'all like it!

Powell's link: www.powells.com/partner/31.../0240808401
I also have copies here I can get to Seattle-ites or send in the mail, if you'd like a signed copy.
Oh, and I'm signing books in NY at Photo Plus on Thursday Nov 2nd at 3pm, and having a book party on Nov 3rd in NY at Robin Rice Gallery, 5:30-8:30, 325 W. 11th St. Hope to meet some of you there!

Re: "Plastic Cameras: Toying with Creativity"
Sun, November 5, 2006 - 3:07 AMCongratulations, Michelle...................this sounds like you put out an amazing piece of work.
Now, back to my work on my incredibly fun (and dweeby) toy video project.
If anyone is interested, here are several videos to accompany my abstract electronica songs
filmed either with a terrible lo res Radio Shack digital camera that takes even crappier 30 second
soundless videos or even a $12 keychain digital camcorder that measures 1/2" X 1 1/2" X 2" !!!!!!

It's not a toy camera per se but it's definitely in the spirit of this tribe
